Do you want to make money getting your car wrapped to advertise companies and get paid for it?

No really like what if you could get paid for simply driving to work, the gym, the store, or your classes – would you be interested?

Well, people are doing this and – it’s a legit side-hustle.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people right now making at least $100 a month or more by simply driving around with ads on their vehicle.

Eligibility depends on your location, the types of ads, and how much you are willing to drive.

Be warned though – there are companies out there that are just scams and only want to take your personal information and money.

But don’t worry.

In this blog, we are going to cover everything you need to know about how you get paid for advertising, legit company reviews, the eligibility process, process of putting ads on your car and how to avoid scam companies.

So How Do You Get Paid to Advertise On Your Car?

I’m sure you’re familiar with what billboards look like, right?

They’re those big signs that you see as you’re driving on the freeway, while you’re stuck in traffic, or in a big city advertising a company’s product or service.

Well, that’s exactly what you would get paid to do with your car.

Your car would be turned into a mobile billboard to attract a specific population and potentially turn them into customers.

Sounds like a pretty cool opportunity to make easy money, right?

If you are constantly driving several miles a day or are in a city with a specific population that they are trying to attract, companies will want to pay you.

Every company has different payouts, but you can expect to earn from $200 – $1000 a month for each car wrap.

¨Yo, I am down to get paid to drive to work! Where do I apply?¨

I got you don´t worry, just make sure you apply to legit companies like the ones below.

What Are Some Legit Car Wrap Advertising Companies?

1. Carvertise

make money getting your car wrapped

Carvertise is a well-known, legitimate car wrap advertising company that was established in 2012 with headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware. Carvertise is trusted by many brands.

Here is the main information that you should know about Carvertise if you decide to sign up for their program.

Requirements for Carvertise:

  • Drive at least 30 miles/day
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Own a 2008 model car or newer
  • Must have a factory finish paint job

This is also the process you’ll go through if you apply for Carvertise:

  1. Driver’s application. They ask you questions about where you frequently drive, city, and population.
  2. Match. This is where they match you with a brand that wants to attract the type of population that you live in. For example, if you are in a city full of college students, you will most likely be matched with companies that provide student loans.
  3. Drive and Earn. Have your car wrapped and start getting paid directly through direct deposit. Each campaign is different, and some can last up to 3 or 6 months.
  4. Unwrap. Once your campaign is over, they take off the ads from your car.

I also wanted to share with you some recent reviews (2019) I found from people on Google Play Store who are trying Carvertise:

You can also check out the full reviews on Carvertise through Google Play Store here.

While it received a negative comment, the comments in September were very positive. Either way, many people are using Carvertise to make money while they drive.

2. Wrapify

The application process is fairly simple and easy.

You can also look up estimates on how much you can earn from doing a small or full advertising wrap on your car.

See the example below.

I actually dig this Wrapify feature a lot.

However, Wrapify did receive a couple bad reviews that I think you should be aware of.

Wrapify Drivers complained the app is not mobile friendly, but noted that it is easier if you use your laptop or computer instead.

Feel free to read reviews (2019) on Wrapify from users in Google Play yourself:

I saw that many people mentioned that the app does not track the miles properly at times and there is a lack of customer support based on the majority of reviews I read.

On the other hand, there are multiple users who are making money and not having any issues with the app at all.

So maybe something to consider is that the app works best in some locations and states vs. others.

Many big brand companies have written great reviews about Wrapify.

So I can assure you that it is legit – I just thought I should share those reviews with you.

How Do You Know If You’re Eligible to Make Money Getting Your Car Wrapped?

Every car wrap advertising company has different eligibility requirements for the type of drivers they are searching for.

Since many of these companies are receiving daily applications to put advertisements on their cars, there is a good chance you won’t get a response for a while.

So be patient with the process.

After you apply, the company reviews your information, and if they are interested in your car, driving habits, and location, then they will connect with you.

From all the legit car wrap advertising companies I researched, I gathered that many of them favor certain applicants over others based on:

    • Meeting their age requirements
    • Having a clean driving record
    • Having full insurance coverage
    • The type of car or age of the car
    • The amount of driving you do
    • The locations you are driving to

Again, every company has specifications for the type of driver they are interested in to advertise their brand, products, or services.

What Is the Car Wrapping Process Like?

Any of the car wrap advertising companies you apply to is going to have a couple processes you have to follow.

Usually, the company has you wash and clean the outside of your car the day or night before your appointment to get your car wrapped.

Once you arrive, the wrapping process and time depends on the size and amount of logos you allow on your car.

For example: you choose between light, partial or full coverage of ads on your car.

For partial coverage, it can take 30 minutes to 2 hours, while full coverage can take up to 3 or more hours.

Furthermore, just remember to keep in mind that many of these companies require you to have the advertisements on your car for a certain period of time (e.g. 3 to 6 months or even up to a year).

So make sure to be positive that you are willing to have the advertisements on your car for that long.

How To Avoid the Car Wrap Scams

Although this is definitely a great way to earn extra cash while driving your car around like you normally would, there are FAKE companies out there ready to take your personal information and money.

You just have to be careful and research the company before you apply.

To make sure you are safe and don’t get hustled, here are a few ways to recognize a fake company:

    • FAKE companies ask you for money to sign up or to pay some fees to match you with some advertising companies
    • LEGIT companies will ask about your vehicle, driving frequency, and where you drive
    • FAKE companies will ask you to send them a cashier’s check.

    • LEGIT companies cover the wrapping cost for you.

Real companies will never ask for your money to sign up or ask you to send them a cashier’s check. These services should be free.

To learn more about how to spot fake car wrap companies, check out this advice from the Federal Trade Commission to citizens.

Below is another example of people who commonly receive fake email offerings from scammers.

Some scammers will claim that they are real representatives from these legit companies, but they are not. You will only be contacted through an email like and should not be from a personal email like mentioned below.

There are definitely legit car wrap advertising companies out there.

Carvertise and Wrapify are just two of them and I could only recommend these two because the other companies I tried contacting would not respond back to me.

Between the two, Carvertise seems to be the best choice – mainly because it received more positive reviews than Wrapify.

But keep in mind that not every Driver/User will take the time to post a review.

The reviews I found were from Google play so make sure to search for other reviews and if you find negative or positive reviews, please feel free to share it in the comments section below and help out a fellow Smart-Noodle member.

That being said, just because someone didn’t have a positive experience doesn’t mean it will be the same for you.

Do some research on the companies you find to verify their authenticity, check out their reviews, and see which one is best before you apply.

This is a good way to earn an extra hundred dollars for doing something you’re already planning to do (driving).

And don’t forget – legitimate companies will not ask you to pay or send any types of checks to them – everything should be free, at no additional cost to you.

So after learning all this, would you consider having your car wrapped in advertisements to make extra cash for simply driving your normal routes?

How many of you have wrapped your car in advertisements and what was the process actually like?
